The official start of the Marshall County Relay for Life is at noon today at River Park Square in Plymouth.
Prior to the start of the day’s event, a survivor brunch is set for 10 a.m. at the Christos Banquet Center. Organizer Joan Hunt said this is the first time for this event.
Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Plymouth City Police Department along with firefighters from the Plymouth Fire Department will open the event by leading the flag presentation right at noon. The survivor lap is at 12:40 p.m. and the caregivers will join around 12:45 p.m. A silent auction will begin at 1 p.m. go throughout the day. A tent will be available for survivors to rest, have a snack and talk with other survivors. The luminary ceremony will also occur at about 9:30 p.m.
