State Police Investigating After Plymouth Police Standoff Ends in Shooting

Indiana State Police are investigating after a 90-minute standoff involving Marshall County and Plymouth police reportedly ended with a man shooting himself. State police say it happened Friday morning along a tree line on King Road north of 9A Road.

The man had reportedly been threatening suicide, and officers were trying to intervene, according to state police. The man was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital, where his condition is unknown.

Indiana State Police detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, at the request of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
