Supporters of the Culver Visitor’s Center plus students of the Culver Community School Corporation and the local daycare facilities are collecting plastic caps in order to construct plastic benches to be placed along a proposed bike trail around Lake Maxinkuckee. The benches will also be installed in the Culver Town Park.
Any recyclable bottle cap will be accepted. Bottle caps off of two-liter bottles, plastic pop bottles, milk jugs, medicine bottles, detergent containers, and hairspray bottles will be accepted. Flip-top caps, spray paint caps, plain prescription bottles and plastic lids smaller than eight inches may also be donated.
Collection boxes are at the Culver Town Park, the Park ‘N Shop, and at the Culver Community Schools.
The Culver Visitor’s Center is leading the project as one of the town’s featured projects in the Stellar Communities application.
