An open house is set for Monday, May 15 at the Culver Beach Lodge as a prelude to the summer season at Lake Maxinkuckee.
Park Superintendent Anna Campbell said the event will allow residents to see what changes have occurred inside the Culver Beach Lodge over the winter months. Town Manager Jonathan Leist will present information along with members of the Culver Town Council who will be available for questions.
Another component to the open house is a unique fundraising opportunity, but Campbell says information pertaining to that will be released during the event.
The open house will be from 5 to 7 p.m. ET at the Culver Beach Lodge where light refreshments will be provided.
Campbell said the start to the summer season at the beach begins Friday, May 26. Concessions will be open and lifeguards will be on duty beginning that day from noon to 6 p.m. Adult admission to the beach is $3.00, children ages 4 to 12 are $2.50 and children under the age of 3 are free. Summer passes are also available for purchase. Call (574) 842-3150 for more information.
