A Texas man is charged with kidnapping after taking a Bremen teen out of state.
Family members of a 14-year-old juvenile contacted the Bremen Police Department to report the incident on Thursday, March 30. Police say it was believed that she left the area with an unknown Hispanic man.
The investigation found that the juvenile was enroute to the Houston, Texas area with Jorge Campos, 19, according to information gathered by the Bremen Police Department.
On Friday, March 31, Bremen officers were contacted by the Diboll, Texas Police Department who located the pair during a traffic stop. As a result of an investigation, Campos was taken into custody on preliminary charges of kidnapping, a Level 5 felony, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Campos is being held in Texas pending extradition to Marshall County.
