Plymouth Residents Jailed for Counterfeiting

Two Plymouth residents were taken to jail, after they allegedly tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill.

Plymouth Police believe Tiffany A. Hughes, 25, and Edward J. Orr, 33, attempted to purchase items from the Dollar General store on North Michigan Street Sunday morning. However, the store employee reportedly realized the bill wasn’t valid and gave it back to Orr.

A few minutes later, police say the pair arrived at Low Bob’s Express and used the fake $100 bill to make a purchase. The Low Bob’s employee also recognized the bill was fake, but kept it and reported it to police the following day.

Officers located Hughes and Orr at the Economy Inn Tuesday afternoon and took them to the Marshall County Jail.
