The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will open bids for two separate projects when they meet tonight. Bids will be opened for the 2017 microsurface spring projects and for the 2017 street and sidewalk spring projects.
The board will also award a quote for the 2017 Ledyard plant filter building roof replacement project.
The governing body will also consider a resolution designating a handgun as surplus property of the Plymouth Police Department and authorizing its transfer to a retiring police officer. A prepayment request for Kinetic IT in the amount of $10,645.75 will be discussed.
The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet in the council chambers room in the city building at 6 p.m.
Immediately following that meeting or at 6:30 p.m., City Attorney Sean Surrisi will present information on a proposed lease, and the proposed action of vacating Allen Street.
Surrisi will present two ordinances for second and third reading. Those ordinances include an amendment of the code of ordinances pertaining to the fire department and an amendment to the salary ordinance of appointed officers and employees and fire and police personnel.
The council members will also consider a certified proposal to amend the zoning ordinance and an ordinance amending deferred payment charges.
Other discussion topics include a commercial rebate request and a zoning request.
The Plymouth City Council will meet in the council chambers in the city building.
