New Bremen EMS Building Almost Complete

The new building that houses the Bremen EMS Department and the food pantry is nearing completion.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the finishing touches are being applied to the 10,800 building the town purchased last year to house the two entities.

“We’ve been doing some work on the EMS side,” explained Weldy. “We had to paint the walls, put in a couple of bathrooms and a shower, and replace the garage door in the back so the ambulance could fit through it. We are at the point now where we’re getting ready to clean carpets and place some appliances in there.”

Once the building improvements are complete, the town will focus on hiring a new EMS service for the Town of Bremen. Weldy said several companies have expressed interest in providing a contract for services. Weldy mentioned that the selection should happen in the next couple of months.
