County clerks around Indiana have been busy updating their voter registration lists. Voters whose registrations were considered inactive by 2014 and have not voted since then have had their voter records canceled.
In Marshall County, 4,862 voter registrations have been canceled as part of the process, according to clerk’s office staff. Statewide, more than 480,000 outdated voter registrations were removed. If someone’s voter record is deemed inactive, that person still has the chance to vote in two general elections before the record may be canceled.
