Firefighters from the Bremen Fire Department were called to a fire at the Charleston Corporation early this morning.
Fire Chief Matt Neher told MAX 98.3 FM News that emergency crews were notified of the fire after the supervisor arrived at the manufacturing facility at 3:30 a.m. today. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire within an hour.
Neher said the fire did not appear to be suspicious in nature, but the Indiana State Fire Marshal will be investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
There were no injuries reported.
Nappanee, Bremen, Bourbon, Tippecanoe, LaPaz, Wakarusa, Madison Township, and Plymouth Fire Departments assisted the Bremen Fire Department at the scene.
