The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department will be getting their last new squad vehicle.
Sheriff Matt Hassel presented the commissioners Monday morning with a pre-pay request to get the last vehicle. Hassel didn’t have numbers at the time of the presentation, but the commissioners approved the request as long as Auditor Julie Fox had the price for the record.
According to Fox, the pre-pay claim submitted was for $24,608. The original price was $26,608 and a trade-in allowance was worth $2,000.
The new vehicles will be Ford Explorer interceptors. Three will be fully marked for the patrol division and one unmarked for the detective bureau.
