The Plymouth City Economic Development Commission will be gaining traction again with several public/private projects on tap this year.
The Marshall County Council members have an opportunity to appoint a member to the organization. Mayor Mark Senter presented the council with a recommendation to the commission on Monday morning.
Senter said this will be the first time the commission will be utilized since he’s been in office.
“We’ve never used it before,” said Senter. “We were just about to disband the commission itself and then we found out that we to use it for two public buildings that we’re renovating. Those projects include the renovation of city hall and the aquatic center and the fieldhouse out at The Zone.”
The council approved the mayor’s recommendation of Tony Gamble for a spot on the commission. The Plymouth City Council approved the recommendation of Jenny Sickmiller and Mayor Senter appointed John Yadon as commission choices.
