April is National Volunteer Month, and the American Red Cross says it’s a good time to donate blood. Red Cross officials note that volunteer blood donors are the only source of blood for many patients who need transfusions.

In Plymouth, blood drives will be held Thursday, April 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus; Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Indiana National Guard Armory; and Thursday, April 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Michiana Behavioral Health.
