The City of Plymouth is taking steps to keep semi trucks out of a residential area.
Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt told the board of works Monday that semi trucks periodically venture into the neighborhood south of East Jefferson Street behind the Boys & Girls Club. “Every now and then, some trucks come out of there. I’m not sure where they’re really coming from,” he explained. “Culligan has talked to their truck drivers. We don’t know if it’s a driver that’s not used to it. But they are like totally tearing up this guy’s yard, actually driving way over our sidewalk.”
The Plymouth Board of Works voted unanimously Monday to install a “no semi trucks” sign.
