A Bremen man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in southeastern St. Joseph County early Saturday morning. Emergency responders were called to the intersection of Beech Road and Kern Road shortly after 2:00 a.m., according to WSBT-TV.
St. Joseph County Police believe that Eric Faux, 32, was driving southbound on Beech when he lost control of the vehicle as he passed Kern Road. The vehicle then apparently left the roadway and crashed.
Police say Faux was the sole occupant and was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to officers. Investigators believe that speed and alcohol were factors.
