The Argos School Board members this week made the decision to raise cafeteria prices. Interim Superintendent Dr. Robert Boyd commented that the prices needed to be brought up to standards.
“It’s just basically bringing our pricing structure into compliance with the federal requirements on equality of costs between those folks on free and reduced lunch and those paying folks,” explained Dr. Boyd. “We’ve been essentially not charging enough for our lunches to comply with the federal requirements and this adjustment brings that into perspective.”
The prices will raise $.10 across all schools for lunch prices, including adult lunches.
