INDOT Accepting Applications for Paint the Plow Campaign

Students from area high schools are invited to partner with the Indiana Department of Transportation in a community outreach program.

INDOT is still accepting applications for the 2017 Paint the Plow campaign. High schools within the INDOT LaPorte District are invited to paint a snow plow blade with original artwork to represent their school.

The effort is designed to promote safety and awareness of INDOT’s winter operations all year long.

The plows blades will be put into service throughout the winter months but may also be used at community events to promote safety and raise awareness of both INDOT’s winter operations and the school’s art program.

Paint the Plow is open to all high schools and career-technical schools in Starke, Marshall, LaPorte, Pulaski, Lake, Porter, Saint Joseph, Newton, Jasper, Fulton, White, Cass and Carroll Counties. Only students who are currently enrolled in the applicant school may participate in the creation, execution and completion of the art project.

Applications and additional program details can be found HERE. Applications will be accepted through March 15.
