The Culver Community Schools Corporation is looking to hire some new bus drivers, and they’re offering to help pay for their training.
Last week, the school board approved resolutions to advertise for bus drivers and implement a reimbursement program for employees who successfully complete CDL training, according to Interim Superintendent Chuck Kitchell. “We’re hoping to generate a few people that would like to be bus drivers if they know we’ll help pay for some of the cost of that training,” he says. “So we put forth a motion for that.”
In addition to new drivers, the corporation also hopes to get a couple new buses. Kitchell says the school board granted permission last week to advertise for bus bids.
