The Culver Community Schools Corporation’s superintendent search is moving ahead. Applications were due Monday. Now, the school board is starting the process of reviewing them to determine which candidates they’d like to interview.
Interim Superintendent Chuck Kitchell says an executive session was scheduled Wednesday night for the purpose, with more set to take place next week. “I think that’s going to start picking up here in the next week or so,” he says, “and two or three weeks down the road, we’ll know a little bit more about what direction we’re going.”
The school corporation plans to have a new superintendent in place by July 1. Kitchell will retire at the end of June.
