Next year’s school calendar will look pretty much the same for students at Culver Community Schools. Interim Superintendent Chuck Kitchell says the 2017-2018 calendar was approved by the school board last week.
Just like this year, the first day of classes will be August 2, with the last day planned for May 31.
The school corporation is increasing its options for potential makeup days, though. In addition to Martin Luther King Day and Presidents’ Day, January 8, February 2, May 4, and June 1, 2018 will also be available. A few changes are also being made to the October parent/teacher conferences.
Christmas break will be from December 23 through January 8, with a day less for teachers. Spring break will run from March 24 through April 8, which will again include a one-week intersession.
