The Culver Town Council met on Tuesday to reorganize for the year of 2017. Council President Ginny Bess Munroe and Vice President Sally Ricciardi were reappointed to their positions.
During Tuesday’s meeting, council members discussed plans for reorganizing the pavilion to a new setup, which came out of the success of the public event The Taste of Culver. The Taste of Culver featured many food vendors and visitors, and the council found that it was easier for people to move around the pavilion with this new set up.
The Culver EMS Department also discussed the new safety helicopter located in Starke County, which improves the speed of getting to victims.
During the Citizen Input section of the meeting, a citizen asked about the plan for the Safe Routes to School Program, and it was announced that it will be put into action during June of 2017.
