The Culver Town Council has narrowed down the list of planned upgrades for the town’s Beach Lodge. A number of potential options were presented to the council last month, including the addition of an amphitheater adjacent to the building.
Town Council President Ginny Bess Munroe says the council discussed closing out the planning grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs during a work session last week. “We prioritized the list to focus primarily on the Beach Lodge building, the concession stand,” she says. “And then the amphitheater – it’ll be part of this project, but we may also apply for a separate grant for that.”
The plan will need to receive state approval before it’s adopted by the town council, and some remaining paperwork needs to be completed before the planning grant is officially closed out. Town officials hope to wrap up that process by the end of the year.
