The Culver Town Council has approved a 2017 salary ordinance for town employees. Earlier this month, Council President Ginny Bess Munroe said a small raise has been budgeted, but most of the actual pay rates are unaffected. Culver’s park superintendent’s pay was adjusted in response to a federal law setting a minimum pay rate for overtime exemption.
However, that law was struck down in court, shortly after the town council’s salary work session last month. Council members approved the 2017 salary ordinance on second and third readings Tuesday, without any changes.
