Flashing Incident Leads to Jail for Plymouth Woman

police-3A Plymouth woman allegedly gave police a few reasons to take her into custody on Saturday morning.

Police were called to the city parking lot near Center and Garro Streets just before noon to a report of indecent exposure. While en route, officers spotted a woman allegedly lifting her shirt in view of police.

According to an incident report, 24-year-old Stephanie Nifong attempted to leave the area after the revealing incident. Plymouth Police made contact with Nifong in the area of Michigan and Washington Streets where she was placed under arrest.

Further investigation led to the discovery that Nifong was allegedly drunk. She also attempted to resist according to police, at one point kicking an officer in the leg while they were trying to place her in the back of a police car.

Nifong was transported to the Marshall County Jail on charges of Public Nudity, Battery to a Police Officer, and Public Intoxication.
