Erratic Driving Leads to OWI Arrest

police-lightsAn Atwood man whose erratic driving got the attention of a Bourbon Police Officer early this morning faces a drunk driving charge.

Brent A. Rutherford, 55, was reportedly driving left of center, did not dim his headlights and was speeding when the officer spotted him just after 2 a.m. on Old U.S. 30 at Center.

Rutherford also failed field sobriety tests and a certified test, according to the arrest report. His blood alcohol level was .25 percent, which is more than three times the presumed level of intoxication. Rutherford was booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
