Well Water Test Kits Return Some Unsatisfactory Results in Marshall County

water-faucetThe Marshall County Health Department announced the results of their well water test kits distributed late last week.

According to a news release, 11 tests were conducted by Marshall County residents and sent to the Indiana State Department of Health Laboratory. Of those 11 tests, five of them were considered unsatisfactory for use in the home.

Wells that were flooded as a result of storms in September were considered at risk for contamination. The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency says, however, that does not mean surrounding wells are also affected.

If residents continue to be concerned about the quality of their water, they may pick up a test kit at the Marshall County Health Department.
