The Plymouth School Board will consider the adoption of an updated teacher evaluation model when they meet Tuesday evening.
According to documents provided by the board, RISE 2.0 is intended for implementation in the future. It’s a modification from the previous RISE standards developed by the Indiana Department of Education.
The rubric would grade Plymouth’s teachers on several categories, including their curriculum planning, instructional abilities, collaboration with other teachers, their pursuit of additional training and knowledge, and their professionalism in the work place.
In the school corporation’s plan for the evaluation model, it says instruction will be heavily weighted for the evaluation.
The school board will meet at 7:00 p.m. at the school corporation’s administration offices.
