Plymouth Police say they have arrested the man allegedly responsible for harassing women in the Plymouth and Walkerton area.
A string of incidents reported between August 17th and August 21st prompted an investigation after women, typically exercising or running, were allegedly being followed by a man in a red car or white van.
One of the incidents occurred around 6:15 a.m. when a Plymouth High School student was allegedly stopped by the driver. According to the victim, the man allegedly asked for sexual favors and revealed himself to her.
The incidents were relatively consistent in nature with a jogger being circled around the block and another with a jogger trying to be lured into a van. The case forced Walkerton authorities to notify the John Glenn School Corporation of a possible sexual predator in the area. Officers announced on Tuesday they were close to making an arrest.
According to a press release from the Plymouth Police Department, 43-year-old Randy Romine of Knox was allegedly identified as the perpetrator. He was interviewed by detectives on Wednesday and arrested on a felony charge of Public Nudity.
