Marshall County emergency responders reported being unable to receive 911 calls on Tuesday.
A fiber line owned by Rochester Telephone Company was cut, according to information released by the Marshall County Sheriff’s office. For the time being on Tuesday, emergency phone calls in Marshall County were rerouted to Kosciusko County for servicing. Their dispatch services were able to continue communications with Marshall County.
A press release says that emergency recovery units responded to Marshall County in an attempt to restore service until the fiber cut is fixed. Delays in service are expected to be minimal.
Marshall County hopes to restore service quickly. Non-emergency lines will continue working.
