The second round of grant applications is now being accepted by the Marshall County Community Foundation.
Those monies are being distributed through the not-for-profit’s Community Fund and unrestricted endowment fund. Since 1995, twice each year, monies are distributed through those funds to support community needs and non-profit efforts.
Areas of need vary depending on the discretion of the committee responsible for awarding the grant funds. According to a press release, More than $3.3-million has been awarded in the last 20 years through the application process.
Not-for-profits that have a need for funding start-up projects and expansion projects, or are in need of one-time funding are being encouraged to apply.
The Marshall County Community Foundation says the application process is considered quite competitive and involves a site visit prior to selection. Applications are due by August 1st.
