Plymouth Police Investigating Robbery, Battery on Trail

police-investigationThe Plymouth Police Department is investigating a robbery that happened last night on the Greenways Trail behind Riverside School. The victim told officers he was walking his dog on the trail around 7 p.m. when a man wearing a helmet came out of the wooded area and struck him in the head with a baseball bat. The victim fell to the ground, and two other men proceeded to punch and kick him, according to the report.

He advised one of the suspects took his wallet. The robbers threatened him and told him to stay on the ground before running to the rear of the school and getting into a green Ford pickup truck.

The victim was treated at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth and released later that night. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Det. Sgt. Leo Mangus with Plymouth Police Department at 574-936-2126 ext. 1208.
