The Marshall County Commissioners will consider a request to update some of the county’s voting equipment prior to November’s General Election.
Clerk Debbie Vandemark made a request to use available funds to increase Marshall County’s storage abilities on the voting machines. During May’s primary election, the size of the ballots create storage problems on the machines, requiring a work around to properly count the ballots cast.
Microvote, the company contracting with Marshall County for election technology, has proposed expanding the memory on the machines and paying for the upgrades next year.
This morning’s meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Marshall County Building.
