Plymouth Schools were able to manage a situation Monday morning involving a toy gun on a local school bus.
According to information provided by the school corporation, a student reported to a supervisor that a gun was seen in an unknown students’ backpack. Plymouth Schools Safety Director Ted Brown stopped a group of buses at the shuttle and contacted the Plymouth Police Department and the Indiana State Police for assistance.
The student responsible was identified after a plastic toy gun was located in a trashcan on one of the buses. The school corporation says parents were notified of the incident through an e-mail messaging service.
Plymouth Schools says they continue making student safety a top priority.
