Cold Snap Could Put Plants in Peril

National-Weather-ServiceThe calendar says spring, but the forecast says otherwise. Low temperatures over the next week are so are expected to dip into the middle and upper 20s at times, according to the National Weather Service. They advise temperatures could even drop into the low 20s. High temperatures may not get beyond the lower 40s.

Spring planting season is still a ways off, but some trees are already starting to bud out due to March temperatures in excess of 60 degrees. Experts warn they could be susceptible to temperatures in the lower 20s. Monitor the forecast over the next couple of weeks and be prepared to care for sensitive vegetation.
