Plymouth Woman Sustains Injuries in Early Wednesday Crash

police-lightsA Plymouth woman was taken to a South Bend Hospital on Wednesday after first responders say she sustained injuries in a single vehicle crash.

The incident occurred in the area of State Road 8 west of Upas Road. According to information provided by the Marshall County Police Department, a vehicle drive by Jessica Bean allegedly traveled off the North side of the roadway. Officers received the call around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

Bean was trapped inside the vehicle as a result of the crash and had to be extricated by local first responders. She was taken by ambulance to the Plymouth Airport where she was subsequently flown to South Bend for additional treatment.

The nature of her injuries was not disclosed by the Police Department. According to police, alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
