Indiana residents can support public education when they file their state tax returns for 2015.
17th District State Representative Tim Harman – representing Marshall and Fulton Counties – says those filing their taxes can choose to donate to any K-12 public school in the state.
According to information provided by Harman’s offices, filling out the Schedule 5 Credit/Donation form on their income tax filings can designate the donation amount and where the donation is being designated. Harman says it’s a simple way for residents to give back to their communities.
The Bremen Republican wrote the law establishing the donation option in Indiana.
