NWS Issues Winter Storm Watch

National Weather ServiceA winter storm watch has been issued for the northern portion of Marshall County. It is in effect tonight through tomorrow for areas north of U.S. 6.

Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible tonight, with potential for another 2 to 5 inches of lake effect snow tomorrow.

Outside of the watch area 2 to 3 inches of snow are possible tonight. Wind speeds between 20 and 30 miles per hour will cause snow to blow and drift. Roads will become snow-covered, slick and hazardous everywhere.
In addition to the snow, wind chill values of between zero and 15 below are expected through Wednesday morning.
