Recycle Depot Hosts Shredding Event

news-2Shredding documents that you no longer need can go a long way in keeping your identity secure, and an event this weekend aims to make it a little easier to do that. The Marshall County Solid Waste Recycle Depot will allow residents to bring in documents to be shredded tomorrow morning from 8:00 to noon.

The first hundred pounds will be shredded for free. They ask that you not include binders, binder clips, or trash.

The Federal Trade Commission recommends shredding receipts, checks, bank statements, expired charge cards, and similar documents that you no longer need, to prevent identity theft.

The Recycle Depot is located at 1900 Walter Glaub Drive in Plymouth.
