The Marshall County Commissioners will further consider its own version of the “buggy ordinance” during their meeting this morning.
It was introduced as a way to have Amish populations in Marshall County pay their share of road upkeep and maintenance. According to multiple sources, the buggies used to transport equipment and people cause damage to Marshall County roadways.
Under the buggy ordinance, a sticker would be purchased by Amish populations using buggies to help fund and maintain the damage caused by the vehicles.
The Marshall County Commissioners will also consider an inter-governmental agreement with the City of Plymouth.
