Plymouth Renews Agreements with Service Providers

Plymouth IndianaThe City of Plymouth has renewed some of its agreements with service providers for the new year.

The Common Council Monday voted to keep Ralph Booker as the city’s planning consultant. City attorney Sean Surrisi says Booker’s work for the city is dictated by an agreement with Marshall County, as well as one directly with him, “You recall it’s been a number of years now that Ralph’s the plan consultant for the county, and we’ve reached an agreement with them where he’s able to do some work for the city during the day. We compensate the county for them allowing that, as he’s a full-time employee with the county, and then the Agreement for Planning Services is a separate agreements directly with Ralph that pays him for his time outside of county business hours when he’s attending meetings and things of that nature.” Both the payments to the county and directly to Booker are being increased by two percent to match the raise for city employees in the new year.

The Common Council also voted to renew its agreement with the Marshall County Council on Aging for its Plymouth Community Cab service, while the Plymouth Board of Works Monday decided to renew its $30,000 agreement with the Humane Society for animal control services.
