A new solar farm’s just about ready to go online in Argos. The Indiana Municipal Power Agency has installed around 3,000 solar panels on town-owned land west of U.S. 31 near the intersection with State Road 10.
Argos Utilities Superintendent Jim Burroughs tells our reporting partners at WNDU-TV that the power produced at the facility will stay in Argos and won’t be sent out onto the grid.
The solar farm’s expected to go online this month. It’s one of five being built by IMPA this year.
