The Marshall County Commissioners will consider an appointment to an advisory board for the removal of unsafe buildings.
A few weeks ago, Marshall County altered its unsafe building ordinance to remedy problem properties in a timely manner. Instead of taking years to review the site, Marshall County will now use an appointed board to determine whether a property is safe and whether a problem can be remedied, or if the property should be demolished.
An appointment to the board will be considered, either for full-time status, or for an individual property under consideration.
Marshall County will also receive a quarterly report from EMA Director Clyde Avery.
Today’s meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Marshall County Building.
