Hunter Education Course Planned for October

Indiana Conservation Officers are holding a Hunter Education Course Saturday October 3 and Sunday October 4 at the Kankakee Fish & Wildlife Area. It will cover topics such as firearms safety, archery and muzzleloaders, treestand safety, and wildlife conservation.

The two-day class will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Central at the Kankakee Fish & Wildlife Area Headquarters at 4320 W. Toto Road in North Judson. The class is free, but participants should bring their own lunch. Kids age 12 or younger need to be accompanied by an adult.

Indiana hunters born after 1986 are required to pass a Hunter Education Course before buying a hunting license.
