Plans to build apartments on the South Gateway property in Plymouth have been nixed by the developer. Cleveland, Ohio-based NRP Group was going to apply for a low-income housing grant from the state to fund the development.
City attorney Sean Surrisi told the board of works Monday that their numbers did not work out in the area. He adds the company is looking for another location in the city to develop and is in preliminary discussion with private individuals at this time.
The city previously gave NRP Group an option to purchase lots in the south gateway location if they got the state grant.
