The Marshall County Commissioners will open bids for a fleet leasing program during their meeting this morning.
The program was previously discussed with a local banking representative as a way to improve the stock of the fleet without the burdensome costs associated with purchasing new equipment.
According to previous discussion, the terms of the lease could be written for whatever the county selected. At the time of the presentation, the Marshall County Commissioners did not have a plan for equipment upgrades. The bid opening may be a first step toward making the improvements.
The Marshall County Building Department will also be presenting an ordinance for consideration.
