The Culver School Board has hired Dennis Otten of Bose McKinney & Evans, LLP, as the school corporation’s bond refinance council.
During last month’s meeting, the board heard a presentation from Otten, during which he gave a price of $20,000 for his firm’s services. At Monday’s meeting, schools superintendent Vicki McGuire said she received a quote of $18,000 from someone else, which Otten matched. After hearing this, the board unanimously approved his hiring.
The board also chose Otten to help legally deem the Monterey School Building no longer useful, which could pave the way for its eventual sale.
