Plymouth Schools Superintendent Dan Tyree was released from the hospital on Sunday.
Complications from a kidney transplant surgery led Tyree to be readmitted to an Indianapolis hospital last week. According to information released by the school corporation, Tyree is now recovering at home prior to students returning to class.
The initial surgery took place on June 24th, but Tyree has been readmitted to the hospital twice since that time. He is reported to have visited the school corporation’s administration building to provide an update on his recovery.
Tyree says the hospitalizations were caused from allergic reactions to the medicine prescribed following the surgical procedure. A change has been implemented that will now allow time for recovery.
Students return to class on August 5th of this year.
