Plymouth Community Schools will be providing space for activities associated with the Marshall County Blueberry Festival.
During Tuesday night’s School Board meeting, a contract was considered to allow Blueberry Festival organizers to use space to host events during the early September gathering.
The Blueberry Festival is Marshall County’s largest celebration of the year. This year’s theme is “Heroes Among Us” which encourages residents to bring someone who inspires them.
To complete the contract, Plymouth Schools must allow parking and the grounds to be used at Plymouth High School. Parking at Riverside Intermediate School and Menominee Elementary school will also be used for activities.
Those attending the festival at the various sites will be charged a parking fee. Those fees will be split between the festival and the school corporation at varying rates depending on the site.
The School Board approved the contract, unanimously.
