Marshall County Historical Society Driving Tours to Highlight Notable Argos Stonemason

A reminder about an upcoming architecture tour was provided at last week’s Argos town council meeting.

Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney stated that the council members issued a reminder that the Marshall County Historical Society will be hosting the “Meet the Foker’s” Stonework Driving Tours on Sunday, July 29th. Mullaney added that the tours will be conducted in open-air trams borrowed from the Blueberry Festival.

In a previous interview, Historical Society Assistant Director Sue Irwin shared that the tour will focus on buildings that were designed by Argos Resident William Lake Foker, an accomplished stonemason of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Continue reading
