Two Arrested for Theft, Drugs in Separate Incidents

Plymouth Police Department officers arrested two people on Tuesday after separate shoplifting incidents were reported.

Police say 22-year-old Jay E. Johnson, Jr., of Walkerton, took items from Walmart and ran from the store. The officer reportedly saw him trying to hide behind vehicles in the parking lot, but he was eventually detained. Officers reportedly found Johnson, Jr. to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of theft and possession methamphetamine. He has a cash bond of $3,005.

Plymouth Bus Drivers’ to Host a Food Drive this Saturday

This Saturday, bus drivers for Plymouth Community Schools will be tackling a different kind of drive; a food drive.

On Saturday, December 16th, drivers are holding the ‘Stuff a Bus Food Drive’ in order to benefit the Marshall County Neighborhood Center and the Bread of Life Food Pantry. Drivers will be stationed in the Walmart parking lot in Plymouth from 9 a.m. until noon.

They’ll be collecting nonperishable food items in an attempt to fill an entire bus with supplies that will assist local families in need. Come out this Saturday and help Plymouth bus drivers collect enough food to drive away hunger this holiday season.

Three Arrested in Walmart Incident

Three people were arrested Friday night after police were called to investigate suspicious activity at Walmart.

Plymouth police officers responded to call of two people nodding off inside of a running vehicle in the parking lot. According to police, 27-year-old Shannyn Fritz, of Kewanna, and 27-year-old Shane Webb, of Rochester, said their friend Jerri Harris was inside shopping. After further investigation, Fritz and Webb were allegedly found to be in possession of a syringe, heroin and methamphetamine. Continue reading
